The Marin Headlands emerge as you cross the Golden Gate bridge. This five mile stretch of coast is chameleon-like, visually shifting as the weather moves through it. You can feel miles away from everything in the headlands. They are a place to get lost in thoughts while climbing through the hills.
This drawing was made while sitting on the remains of Battery Townsley, at the top of the paved section of Coastal Trail.
The line art drawing has been screen printed onto a 300 gram off-white watercolor paper in black water-based ink and individually watercolored by hand. Hand coloring each print makes each print unique. The color palette is consistent throughout the edition but there is variation from print to print. Celebrate diversity!
