This time of year the hills in the North Bay are vibrant green and covered with flowers. In a few months they will turn to gold. I sometimes draw line art, print it out and color up in different ways. It’s amazing how much you can change the mood with color.

Packed with sketchbook, chair, sandwich, and frosty, I pedaled up to the Battery Townsley bunker. The WWII cement battery overlooks Rodeo Beach, Point Bonita Light house and San Francisco. The windy day was spent trying to hold the pages down and make lines.
Taking the time to sit down and draw provides a chance to stop, focus and recenter. Breath in, breath out and be present... More drawings to follow.

Awhile back I asked @californiatravis for some @paulcomponent gear to make my 26” @ibiscycles alphabet single speed bike beautiful again. He offered parts for arts. When the time came they gave me carte blanche to make the box graphic. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Thanks Paul Components crew! .

🖍ARTS🖍 When I think of Paul, I think of the good times hanging with friends in the Sierras. Like the time I got lost, found the Paul van, hitched a ride in the back over mtn roads, drinking a beverage while sitting in a broken lawn chair in the back. Pure Gold! I wanted to capture all the radical weirdness that the Paul crew brings, like dune buggies, whisky and bacon, wizards and forest critters, stuff like that. Oh yeah, and sick bikes! .

🗡PARTS🗡This bike was built with parts collected from friends over the years. I picked up the frame before I knew the ibis folks. The wheels built by @shredportals, Flite Alps saddle from the @nycvelo collection, @whiteind trials freewheel, Boone titanium chain ring, rebuilt 80mm fox from @fullmetalcycles, high risers from @huntercycles, best sticker ever from @allhailtheblackmarket. Looking back over it all makes so thankful 🖤
